This is actually my 20th rewrite of this post :) Can you believe I started this las night? Silly huh… But true, sometimes when I put a lot of thinking into what I’m about to write down, I find myself stuck. I just could not say no to writing. After all we only turn 31 once :) Yep, it’s my birthday…, 1-2-3 Happy Birthday to me!!!
 
I remember celebrating my birthday surrounded with a lot of friends when I was younger. There was cake, balloons & of course spaghetti :D Yum! The celebrations however faded a little but going into my teens, early 20s & late 20s too. I’m not quite sure what happened but it was not a big deal for me. I was used to silent birthdays celebrated with family & friends. If you asked me what I did for my birthday last year, I could not even remember ;P I guess that’s all part of growing up & perhaps growing older as well…
 
This year however seemed a little different! It felt like one of my birthdays when I was around 6 years old :) Hahaha.
 
I admit I am not always a pretty lovable son, or the perfect best friend, the sweet boyfriend (just ask Sandy) or the ideal officemate. There are times when I am not the best self I can be. But despite my shortcomings, I still consider my self one of the LUCKIEST people on earth. Blessed with a whole bunch AMAZING Family & Friends who never grow tired of all my silliness :P They even helped me remember how fun it is to celebrate your Birthday complete with cakes, spaghetti, lechon, pancit, coca-cola & beautiful video messages from around the globe today. (I should upload the video for everyone to see soon).

It’s amazing turning 31 but it’s even more amazing turning 31 when you are surrounded by the best people in the world. I know I am :)

Hey! Happy birthday! I'm sure belated na, hehe.. Apir! kay april celebrant pod ko! heheh I loove the photos in this post. And regarding what you wrote, I can't help but compare how opposite my mood was in my post about my upcoming birthday. I am nervous and far from happy. What I learned from reading this is that I need to surround myself with fun and amazing people. It's no doubt a blessing to turn a year older, despite dreading the fact that we're starting to be referred to as "old".. but hey, with age comes wisdom, so I think that's a good way of seeing it.

    , Thank You so much for dropping by :) And oh yeah, I love April. Hehehe. Yes, we are lucky to be surrounded with beautiful people. They make everyday pretty & interesting. Yay!!! I'd love to have more of that wisdom too. When it comes to that, I am still a baby so I can't wait to see what's in store when I turn 40 :) Thanks Happy Birthday pud oi!!!
