“Gem is like a brother to me, and Amy, well, she’s like a sister to me. They’re like a brother and sister to me and now my brother & sister is getting married.”

~ Madz, Gem’s Groomsman

And with that note, the crowd went wild!!! Hahaha. Unlike most wedding testimonials, this one was especially shared by two people. Amy’s bridesmaid, Michelle & Gem’s groomsman, Madz. It actually started a little shaky but like I said, the crowd went wild after that line above. Who would have ever thought about that? Hahaha.

Gem & Amy’s wedding was one of the more emotional weddings I’ve shot. You wouldn’t actually notice it on the outside but deep down, I know it was something both of them have been waiting to happen. I will personally remember this Wedding as one that brought me mini-tears, if there is such a term, right after the couple’s first kiss. It is just hard to explain the emotions and one just cannot help but share the happiness filling the whole Ocean Pavilion of the Shangri-La in Mactan.

Everything was well prepared and well planned. Amy herself took care of all the details handcrafting the boutonnieres, the guestbook, and every little special thing for their wedding. We’ve been talking about these details for the past few months especially the Vera Wang Gown & the Steve Madden shoes which were drop dead gorgeous. I guess because Amy has a little background on project management, and if there’s something I learned working in a corporate world, Project Management can be applied on weddings :D Hahahahaha!!!

I was also really happy that Sandy was free from work and that she came to shoot with me. The night before we carefully planned our shoot assignments and earlier this afternoon we also talked about areas which we can improve. Yes! We are pushing our little Green & Purple forward.

Really, everything was nothing short of beautiful during Gem & Amy’s union. Family & friends flew in from places just to witness their Love and share their laughter & happiness. Everyone stayed a little longer that when the party was over, people hang out at the cocktail area to continue chatting while enjoying more desserts. Sandy & I stayed a little longer too :)

Earlier this evening before they left for Singapore, Amy sent me a Thank You SMS for taking the pictures but it should be us Thanking her & Gem for allowing us to be part of their Wedding. It is one for the ages…

These were handcrafted with LOVE by Amy herself.

I could not have been more excited shooting Vera Wang :)

And Steve Madden!

Those are actually 3D Glasses from LucasFilm. It’s where Gem works!

Aren’t these the cutest ever?

I told you, the boys back in high school loved her!

When it rains on your Wedding Day, it’s usually a blessing!

Rain actually prevented us from taking post-wedding photos but we agreed to fly to Singapore again to shoot it… Ha!!!

On the top right, he was the one who said Gem was like a brother & Amy was like a sister :D
