Their living conditions tore my heart into pieces.
I wish we could trade places.
Even just for a day.
Make them feel a little OK.

Hope.

Despite the harsh reality, they can still afford to smile a little.

Faith.

I was overwhelmed by the outpouring help everyone was willing to provide. What normally took a little over 2 hours from Cebu to Bogo took around 5 hours because everyone was headed to the North.

There was this adorable family who asked if they could give out the siopaos they brought together with our group because they didn’t know where to start.

Love.

I hope when we go back next week, it will all get better.

I pray…

p.s. If you want to help, let me know. I also don’t know how to start but maybe I can call a few friends.

These people have beautiful hearts…

Everyone was literally heading North.

Never in my life.

Trees didn’t have leaves :(

This BROKE my heart into pieces!!!

And this…

Everyone was there to help. Beautiful!

Let’s go back.

A little prayer for hope…

Like Josephine says: Meaningful pictures. Heartbreaking pictures. Know that countries all over the world are sending help! Norwegian help organizations are encouraging everybody to support them in their work, on TV there have been programs dedicated to helping, people are signing up for not only helping with money now, they are making commitment to be supporting help for those who are in need every month. And you may know that Unicef, Red Cross and others already had supplies on the Filippines when this happened. Keep up the good work, Jeff!

Ella, Salamat! Everyone has been so thoughtful, so generous. It's really heart warming as well. Salamat!
