I never imagined myself being a teacher. I just don’t have the patience. Ask Sandy, and she’ll tell you tons of stories of how I failed miserably at teaching :) At my day-to-day work though, I do not have a lot of choices. You see, I kinda lead a small team and to top that, we have student trainees. What does that make of me? An instant teacher, you can call it “mentor” if you will.

It was late November of 2011 when these four (Mary, Rex, Creselda & Kevin), graduating students from the University of San Carlos, joined our small team. I was in-charge of training Mary & Creselda. Both of them, more than a decade younger than I am. Wow!!!

Did I just say more than a decade older? Hahaha. Time indeed flies so fast when your old and after more than a year, these kids are graduating. On their last day at work, I gave them mini-moleskines before leaving the office, bid them farewell & wished them a ton of luck. When I arrived at my desk the next morning, I was a surprise to see, two paper planes resting just beside my laptop. Aha! The kids left me 2 pretty letters!!!

I’m sure I already told you how I suck at teaching but reading their pretty Thank You Note, made me feel a little proud of myself…

These pretty notes will always remind me of how, back in the day, I was a little successful at teaching. Shhhh, we have a new member in the family. Surprise!
