Well, here I am blogging again. October must have been my busiest blog month. I don’t know where these words are coming from. It’s like I wake up with words rushing out from my heart these days. Yesterday I gathered words on a taxi cab and today, well here I am again…

I’ve been telling you how a little emotional I get when shooting weddings lately. Last Saturday I sobbed so hard when the bride marched down the aisle. Guess where I cried yesterday?

I was commissioned to second shoot Seven & Pach’s Wedding by a friend, Eca, whom I met at Ryan Ortega’s XLOVE Workshop. As soon as she posted a need for a shooter, I readily volunteered and I couldn’t be any happier. I had an amazing time shooting with Photogenics at Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa yesterday. It’s like I found this new inspiration for shooting weddings where everything just comes to me naturally. Each frame drawn out from my heart like a hidden treasure that needed just a little bit of light to be found.

Eca asked me to take photographs of the Reception details at the Mactan Ballroom. I would have been OK except for the fact that a quartet was playing some good music and the next thing I knew I was crying while taking photographs of the Wedding Cake :( The reality is that this is terribly difficult. But I rejoice in the fact that I am able to direct all of these emotions into photographs that are sincere and honest. If this is what I need to be able to capture poignant photographs then take me & I will willingly follow.

Eca & the Photogenics Team, Thank You so much for inviting me to shoot this Wedding with you and I hope we get to work some more on future weddings.

Meanwhile, these are just some of the photographs I took yesterday.

Eca lent me their 35mm and I was more than happy to have used it. It’s in the bucket list as of today! Universe hear ye!!!

One of my favourites from yesterday.

Black and White come to me…

How did I ever forget to take photographs such as this?

I hope these lights guide you home.

I already told you, I was confused if I was still in the Wedding Reception or The Oscars!

I thought she was pretty :)
