In the early hours of last Saturday, I found myself sleeping at the back of a van
We left Quezon City early so I thought I’d sleep on our way
I woke up, however, somewhere along the SCTEX or the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway
To funny stories of the rest of the people in the van, 4 adults including me and 2 kids

I met Florianne when we worked together for a wedding early in January
And when she knew I had travels in Manila, she asked if I could come with them to Anawangin Cove in Zambales
These are our pictures.

The jump off point was in San Antonio where we rode a boat for about an hour, passing by Capones Island briefely and then to Anawangin

These are our boatmen who also helped us settle in the island.

Anawangin, now, is totally different from how I imagined it to be. To tell you the truth, I didn’t like it that much because of the crowd.

I guess because it was the weekend but still. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves.

First up, lunch! Here’s Jeherson and Florianne preparing our meal. Grilled pork, fish and hotdogs. I cooked rice using firewood :)

In the afternoon we went in for a swim even if it was still terribly warm. The sea was really nice and the water was crystal clear.

On the side of the cove was this rocks and the moon up there.

I immediately noticed this tree so I asked Florianne to play us a song underneath it.

And then after a while asked Jeherson to join her.

I’m thankful these 3 placed their bets on me.

She even taught me play the ukelele. I can’t wait to get my own.

The fact that we like punk made everything easier. Haha! Goldfinger for the win!

The best thing about my job is that I get to be myself. No awkward poses and shit like that.

Because when we meet around those things, we are going to have a good time.

Which means we’re going to have wonderful pictures.

Real. That’s it.

I tried playing Adele on the ukelele and failed miserably.

There were so many people to who shared the beach with us but we found our own spot.

I’m coming back next month.

It was time for a swim.

Not before some corny tiny people pictures.

Ohhh, and we had to return the ukelele to because it’s not allowed to swim.

This is their little Ealli!

Who was more than happy to join us.

I loved looking at the mountains surrounding the cove.

We swam until dark.

We agreed to do a lips to lips but didn’t happen. Hahaha.

So they took turns tossing Ealli instead.

See that smile from the little boy?

In the evening, we lit a bon fire and drank a couple bottles of beer.

And still played the ukelele.

The next day, I roamed around a bit.

This is the famous bridge that often gets photographed.

Pine trees surround the place.

It was a wonderful weekend all-in-all, I just didn’t really like the crowd. Hahaha.

See you next month Anawangin.
