As the clock ticks into the remaining seconds of this year’s Christmas
We’re exactly where we were last night while we waited for 12 midnight
Seated on the same table with our respective cups of coffee
A pretty good cover of Last Christmas by Jimmy Eat World is playing in the background
The conversations are always the same like the food and drinks
And with 2 kids under our roof, most times we break into laughter
Especially when they try to impress us with their moves
While Christmas this year was a little bit rainy and gloomy
It still didn’t stop everyone from enjoying the happiest season
There’s nothing quite like Christmas, if you ask me
I can’t wait to find out what’s in store for next year
